He currently serves as the Chief Market Intelligence Officer at Point72 Asset Management and as a Managing Partner at Point72 Ventures.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
Education
Granade attended The Paideia School in Atlanta Georgia for High School.[7] After High School, Granade attended Harvard University where he was the President of The Harvard Crimson, he graduated cum laude.[1][8][9] Granade would go on to attend Harvard Business School, and was a George F. Baker scholar.[7][1][10]
Career
Granade began his career at Bridgewater Associates, one of the world’s largest hedge funds. As Co-Head of Research, he led teams responsible for generating insights into the global economy, creating algorithmic systems for investment strategies, and publishing the firm’s influential market commentary, Daily Observations.[7][11][12][13]
In 2013, Granade co-founded Domino Data Lab, a data science platform that helps organizations accelerate research and collaboration through the development of high-impact models. The platform has become a critical tool for data-driven firms, and Granade continues to serve on its Board of Directors.[14]
In 2015, Granade joined Point72 Asset Management as the Chief Market Intelligence Officer, overseeing market research and analysis and providing insights that inform the firm’s investment strategies across various asset classes.[14][15][16][17][18][19]
Granade is also a managing partner at Point72 Ventures, the venture capital arm of Point72 Asset Management. At Point72 Ventures, he focuses on identifying, investing in, and scaling startups in the technology and financial sectors. His analytical approach to investment and deep understanding of market trends have enabled him to support the growth of numerous portfolio companies.[20]
Throughout his career, Granade has served on the boards of several private companies, including Say, Inc., Quantopian, Inc., and Domino Data Lab. He is known for his contributions to the venture capital landscape, particularly in fostering innovation in data science and finance.[7][21][22][23]
Personal Life
Granade married Hannah Choi in 2006.[11] They reside in Greenwich, Connecticut|Greenwich Connecticut and have 1 child.[24][25]
Politics
In 2019 Granade and his wife Hannah hosted a lunch fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg at their home in Greenwich Connecticut.[25][26] The couple have donated to the campaigns of Zahra Karinshak, Pete Buttigieg and the VoteVets.org|VOTEVETS super-PAC.[27][28]
