Joshua Grode

Grode is an American entrepreneur, attorney, and film industry executive. He is the Chief executive officer of Legendary Entertainment. He was previously a partner and member of the executive management Committee at Irell & Manella, LLP, and the co-chair of the firm's transactions practice.
Early Life and education
In 1991 Josh graduated from the Loyola University School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1998.[1]
Career
Josh worked as an assistant to Sydney Pollack and was promoted to Reader. He then worked as a Production Assistant for Roger Corman.[2] After passing the bar exam in 1991, he joined Liner LLP as an associate. [3] Throughout his law career, Josh regularly facilitated film, TV and, video game financing and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2012, he facilitated the sale of Summit Entertainment to Lionsgate for $412.5 million. In 2014, he joined Irell and Manella, LLP as Transactions Group Co-Chair and Partner. [4]
In 2018, he succeeded Thomas Tull as CEO of Legendary Entertainment. [5]
Recognition
Grode was on the Hollywood Reporter's list of the most powerful lawyers in entertainment from 2007-2014. [1]
Personal life
He resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Lisa, and their three kids.
