Script error: No such module "Infobox".Template:Template otherScript error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters".Script error: No such module "Check for deprecated parameters".Template:Wikidata image Joshua Freed is an American entrepreneur, real estate developer, social worker, and philanthropist.[1][2][3] He is the chief executive officer of Equity Capital Inc.,[4] which specializes in acquiring real estate properties at discounted prices with outside financial sources.[5][6] Freed also serves on the boards of directors for several social welfare groups, including Protect a Child Today and Vital solutions. Additionally, he is known to have volunteered in Kenya and the Philippines to assist in the construction of clean water wells, health clinics, and houses.[7][8]
Early life and education
Freed was born and raised in Kirkland, Washington. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University and a master’s degree from Western Seminary.
Career
In 2005, Freed established Element Residential LLC, a Bothell, Washington-based real estate development company.[9] He has served as the company's CEO for the previous seventeen years. Freed joined Equity Capital, Inc. in 2010 as its chief executive officer.[10] Equity Capital Inc. has been a successful real estate development enterprise for over 16 years.[11] Freed founded the company initially to invest in real estate and acquire undeveloped land, guiding projects through entitlement, engineering, and community development.[12] Freed has established his company to generate over $75 million yearly sales and serve a nationwide clientele.[13]
Freed is also known to compete for the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Washington elections as a Republican Party candidate held in August and November 2020, respectively.[14][15][16]
Philanthropy
Freed serves on the boards of directors for several social welfare groups, including Protect a Child Today, Vital Solutions, King County Mental Health Advisory Board, the East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition, the Puget Sound Regional Council - Economic Development, and the Eastside Transportation Partnership.[17] He is also a fundraiser for YMCA.[18]
Additionally, Freed is known to have volunteered in Kenya for the construction of wells to offer access to clean water and the construction of health centers and in the Philippines for the construction of homes for earthquake-affected families.[19][20][21]
Personal life
Freed currently resides in Florida with his wife and five children and actively volunteers to serve the church and the community. Freed enjoys fly fishing, playing drums, and spending time with his family in his free time.
