She is best known for her highly acclaimed works, The Winning Season, Zola, 11:55, The Art of Getting By and Burn Country. Walsh is the Co-founder of Gigi Films and has worked with a number of world renowned artists like Emma Roberts, Rooney Mara, Freddie Highmore, Sam Rockwell, Margo Martindale, James Franco, Melissa Leo,Rachel Brosnahan,John Leguizamo,Julia Stiles, Coleman Domingo, Nicholas Braun, and Riley Keough.[1][2]
Most of Walsh’s films premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, the largest independent film festival in the United States.[3][4][5] She has been featured in several media outlets including Yahoo Finance, Imench and Medium.
Early life and education
Walsh from a very young age was inclined towards the idea of movies and spent a chunk of her time watching films and reading. Later on, as an attempt to explore her passion, Walsh pursued a degree in American Literature at Manhattanville College. She credits the time spent at college to be one of the major sources of how she created the foundation for her career in the filmmaking industry.
Career
Walsh is the Co-founder of Gigi Films and started her career a decade back with her first project - The Winning Season that starred a number of well known Hollowood personalities including Emma Roberts, Sam Rockwell, Margo Martindale, James Franco, Melissa Leo, Rachel Brosnahan, John Leguizamo, Julia Stiles, Coleman Domingo, Nicholas Braun, Riley Keough and Rob Corrddry.[6] This sports comedy film premiered in the Sundance festival in 2009.
In 2011, Walsh’s second production The Art of Getting By, a romantic comedy was released under the name Homework in the Sundance Festival. This movie starred Emma Roberts, Freddie Highmore, Alicia Silverstone, and Sasha Spielberg who is the daughter of one of the greatest Hollywood filmmakers Steven Spielberg.
Another Walsh production made it to the big leagues. Burn Country a critical drama motion picture starred Oscar winners Melissa Leo, Rachel Brosnahan, Oscar nominee James Franco and Dominic Rains.
In 2017, Walsh worked on another dama picture 11:55 which premiered at L.A. Film Festival.[7] This movie was highly appreciated and won the Audience Favorite Feature at Aspen Filmfest in 2016, and the corresponding audience choice award at RiverRun International Film Festival 2017.
In the beginning of the year 2020, Walsh’s recent production Zola, a comedy drama film based on a true story was released starring Taylour Paige, Riley Keough and Colman Domingo.[8] This movie was also premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.[9]
In 2022, Walsh produced the comedy-drama film Allswell in New York, directed by Ben Snyder. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2022. The film follows the story of three Nuyorican sisters navigating the challenges of single motherhood, career, and family. In the same year, Walsh produced the crime thriller American Murderer, directed by Matthew Gentile.
In 2023, Walsh produced the horror thriller film Cabin Girl, directed by Jess Weixler. The film follows Ava Robbins’s interest in supernatural things and weird events.

Personal life
Walsh is married and is the mother of three children.
Walsh in her free time likes to read and believes that it helps her discover new ideas and bring them to life. Walsh is an extrovert and enjoys meeting new people. She is offcourse a movie buff and cherishes the idea of watching films with her friends.
