He is regarded as a remote work leader and has over a decade’s experience of working remotely and internationally in over 100 countries. Swigunski has brokered more than $120M in digital assets and has helped in transforming location-independent work and business synergize.[2][3][4]

Swigunski is the author of the best-selling book titled Global Career: How to Work Anywhere and Travel Forever and is a contributing writer for Forbes and Entrepreneur. Swigunski also runs a travel blog under the name SwigMeetsWorld.Com, where he shares his passions and knowledge about travel, remote work, and entrepreneurship and his experience in working in numerous countries across the world.[5][6][7]

Early life and education

Swigunski was born on 29 December 1988 to Fran and Thomas Swigunski in Wildwood, a small suburb in St. Louis. He grew up in Missouri.

In 2009, Swigunski enrolled in the University of Missouri to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Banking. Simultaneously he studied abroad in Italy and the following two years, led study abroad groups to Prague as a student manager. In 2009, he also did a summer program in International Business at the University of Bergamo.

In 2013, he received a full-ride scholarship to attend Chonnam National University in South Korea to pursue a master’s degree in Business Administration and graduated cum-laude in 2015.

Career

During his junior year of University, Swigunski joined Fianna Fail as an intern for two months. During this course, he interned at Ireland’s Governing Political Party Headquarters.[11][12]

In 2011, Swigunski became a lecturer and seminar leader at the Czech University of Life Science in Prague. During his year-long tenure at this university, Swigunski was the leader of Financial Economics and English for Information Technology and created curricula for over 100 international students for both courses.[13][14]

In 2012, Swigunski started working at Wells Fargo Advisors as a prime broker for a brief period. He then joined QuirQy as an advertising and sales manager, where he worked for four months.

In 2014, Swigunski started his writing career and became a travel writer for GFN Radio Network. Soon after that, he freelanced for Hanmi Global Publishing. In the same year, he founded SwigMeetsWorld.Com, a website that documents travel experiences, city guides, and money-saving tips. He contributes as a travel writer and photographer for this website.[15]

In 2015, Swigunski became the assistant marketing manager of ICN Group Corporation and then the marketing and sales manager of Wayfare Magazine. In 2016, Swigunski joined Empire Flippers as a senior marketing strategist and employee #4, where he worked for over four years. During his time there, Swigunski helped scale the company’s total revenue from $12M to $120M+ in brokered deals and acquired the HubSpot Inbound Certification, Google Adwords, organized international conferences and events and Email Marketing Certification.[16]

In 2018, Swigunski founded Global Career, a staffing and recruiting firm based in St. Louis and published his bestselling book. In 2019, Swigunski became a contributing writer for Entrepreneur. Two years later, he also became a contributing writer for Forbes.
