Template:Infobox musical artist Simone Nefertiti Kimbrough (/SEE-MAWN/) (Kimbrough; born August 31, 1995), also known as Mone Symone, is an American singer, music manager, entrepreneur and community organizer. She's earned the title of "community organizer," from being an activist in her communities. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Mone Symone spends most of her time in Atlanta, Georgia where she lives with her daughter.
Early life
Mone Symone was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Illinois, to Tondalaya (Nelson) and Roderick Kimbrough. [1] She has one sister and 6 brothers. After turning 19, she was offered a deal. Shortly after, she found out she was pregnant, having to choose between her daughter and her music career. Mone Symone stopped doing music for a few years to raise her daughter, Naomi (Victory) as a single mother. [2]
Career
At age 10, she started singing and modeling, being featured in local showcases and fashion shows. After gaining attention from social media, the summer of 2020, Mone Symone dropped her single "Need Somebody." [3]
Shortly after, she started her entertainment company "MS Music Group." Specializing in brand development, music management, and media relations.
In Early 2021, her company "MS Music Group," organized music showcases, artist boot camps, etc. In May of 2021, MS Music Group launched "Put Us On The Map Music Tour." Traveling city to city, giving out money to artists.
Mone Symone released her single "New Thang." [4]
Personal life
In 2020, Mone Symone came out to the public and family as pansexual. In an interview, she spoke on her being a community organizer and civil rights advocate.[5]
